The Mysterious Flying Machines Of Dellschau

There once was a disgruntled butcher by the name of Charles Dellschau. He was born in Hamburg Germany in 1853 and arrived in the United States at the age of 25. Documents that were later found showed that he lived in both California and Texas with his family and retired in 1899. During these later years, Dellschau took to filling his days and notebooks with a visual symphony of memories from his youth. He called the first three books “Recollections” and recounted something that may or may not be true; a secret society of flight enthusiasts which he met in California during the mid-19th century. They called themselves the “Sonora Aero Club.”
