Apple revealed it’s latest iPhone today in two sizes … the iPhone 6 and the iPhone 6 Plus. Bigger and faster than ever, the world counted down with Apple to the conference at the Flint Center this  morning, September 9th at 10am.  The new phone is 50% more efficient than it’s predecessor. And A8 allows gamers to play seemlessly at higher frame rates.

The iPhone 6 is 4.7 inches while the iPhone 6 Plus is 5.5 inches. You can see the vast difference to the 5s, making it more comparable to the Droids, but with a lot more functionality. Both phones are made with Retina HD display and ion-strengthened cover glass.

The new iPhone 6 is the thinnest iPhone ever made at 6.9 and 7.1 mm. Easier to handle, fits in your pocket or purse, and looks sleek. While the screen is bigger, the thin and lightweight design makes up for it. Rounded edges contour similar to the iPad.

Included in iOS8 is the Health App for both phones, which measures you activity such as walking, running or climbing stairs. There is even a barometer that measures elevation, which detects when you are going up hills.

The 8MP iSight Camera with 1.5µ pixels, ƒ/2.2 aperture, includes an all-new sensor. Focus Pixels allows you to focus faster and better. This capability has been only available in professional DSLR cameras. No more shaky hands or low light with the new ISP.

The camera also includes Burst, which gives you better face detection. It also detects blinking and smiling, giving you a bunch of shots to choose from. And the video camera captures slo-mo at 120 fps or 240 fps. The Apple-designed video encoder and cinematic video stabilization makes it appear as if you have a steady cam.

One of the most exciting new features is Apple’s Auto Pay. Now you can just scan your phone instead of having to pull out your credit card or cash. No more fumbling through your purse, losing credit cards, and having to enter codes. It’s quicker, easier, and more secure. Just add your credit cards to your phone by snapping a picture with the iSight camera and you’re ready to go.
